Entry Film Requirements
We welcome documentary, fiction, animated and experimental features dealing with ocean culture, issues or sports. There is no duration limit to the films. Films with sound tracks other than English and without English subtitles have to be accompanied by a written version of the sound track in the original version and in English.
Film selection
2 DVD copies and/or a secure Vimeo link of each film shall be submitted to VFOF for review. Each film must be accompanied by the following support materials:
- a summary of the film content (synopsis);
- at least two still promotional digital images from the film;
- and the filmmaker’s digital portrait / mug shot image.

Films received after this deadline or without all required materials might not be considered. The previewing committee, consisting of jurors will choose the films for screening. Filmmakers of the chosen films will be contacted.
DVD format will be used unless the filmmakers can provide higher definition version upon request.
