At VFOF, our goal is to inspire and stimulate people to explore their relationship with the ocean by bringing together local and international filmmakers and presenters in a multimedia event and film competition.

Tickets are now available for purchase online.  Tickets are $15 online or $18 at the door (day-of only).  We are delighted to be presenting a total of three screenings of the best in ocean documentary film making on June 8th & 9th, 2012.  The complete program is available here or for download in pdf format.

All screenings will take place at the VIFF Vancity Theatre, 1181 Seymour St, Vancouver.

This year, the grand prize winning film will be awarded a trip for two to Antarctica, courtesy of One Ocean Expeditions.

For 2012, we are very proud to partnering with the Georgia Strait Alliance. All the profit, after expenses, will be donated to them to assist in their mission to  protect and restore the marine environment and promote the sustainability of Georgia Strait, its adjoining waters and communities.
